Spring is in the air!

We made it though our first Winter in the new house, it keep us warm and cozy!  We got snow a few times and learned the hard way that we need to put up a snow fence.  The driveway is about 1/4 mile, with a couple of low points that filled with snow.  Fortunately, we have a family friend who was kind enough to plowed it once for us, then a wonderful neighbor who brought his tractor over the second time.  We are very grateful to both of them!  Hubby was able to get back and forth to work, only getting stuck in the driveway once.    I tried getting out once and got stuck after a few feet, so I took the opportunity to just stay home and play with the kids for an entire week.

Now we  are heading into spring and I am so very excited to start planting.  My brother and I have been working on a chicken coop (he does most the hard work, what a great big brother!) and last weekend we brought home 14 little chicks.  They are the cutest things ever and their sweet chirps melt my heart.
