Trim

doors getting framed
window seals going in

The outside trim is just about done.  They still have the wood under the porch to do, I'm sure that is soon.  Today I ordered all the flooring and tile, I can't wait to see it in.  They started on interior trim today too.

Interior painting complete

MIL bathroom
Master bedroom
Living room to dining room - I love those little holes!
Mother in law apt entry
mud room
Living room
Things are moving fast now.  They finished painting the inside of the house Monday and all the plastic came off the windows.  I was very worried about picking one color for the whole house based on a little chip - plus I couldn't even see the chip inside since all the windows were covered - but they are done and I am very happy with the color - Mom loves it too.  Today I go to finalize the flooring and tile.  I meet with an interior designer and she is WONDERFUL.  I wasn't super excitted about the flooring before but with her choices I am sure it is going to flow nice and look great.  They are going to start putting that in Friday.  Carl and I are hoping to start on the floating floor for the living and dining room on the weekend and then cabinets and interior doors next week.  Today the garage doors are going in and the electricians are puting in lights, tomorrow we will have cable hook up and a working furnace. They are still telling us mid Nov, but they are hinting at Halloween - woo hoo!

Paint

The house paint is mostly done outside, they started on the trim today and will paint the inside next week.  I love the  color, its hard to see but its a mossy greenish/brown.  They also finished the MIL steps and walkway, it looks great.  We didn't want a lot of cement covering the ground, but I have to say that the walkway looks so nice, I may want one just like it to the front door.

Cabinets

Mother-in-law cabinets
HUGE pantry- 5 floor to ceiling cabinets
8 ft butcher block island
the cabinet for 2nd oven, microwave, fridge, and over stove
We went and looked at the cabinets yesterday, the island is butcher block.  The cabinets will be stained a little (light) to match the butcher block.  The island will be pained white to contrast with the butcher block.  The wood is so pretty that it pains me to cover it up.  I was shocked at how big it felt and how big the pantry was.  It will cost a small fortune to fill it up!
